Crews suspended their search for a missing person after two boats collided killing one and injuring another Thursday on Lake Allatoona, Channel 2 Action News reported.

A call came into authorities about 1 p.m. about a collision near Little River Marina off Bells Ferry Road, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services spokesman Tim Cavender said.

One was killed in the accident, Channel 2 reported. Another man was pulled from the water after 45 minutes.

“The water's very cold out there. It's fortunate that we had one that we were able to get out,” Cavendar told Channel 2.

The call came in to authorities about 1 p.m., Channel 2 reported.

Crews will begin their search 8 a.m. Friday. No other details were released.
