Braun named county clerk in Henry

Henry County will have a new county clerk later this month. The Board of Commissioners voted March 3 to appoint Stephanie Braun to the position effective March 16. She succeeds Shay Mathis. Braun will also serve as the county’s open records custodian and legal liaison per the resolution approved by the board. The move was approved 5-1 with Chairman Tommy Smith voting against.
