The Braselton City Council will hold a public hearing at 4 p.m. March 8 at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53 to discuss the possibility of a Starbuck’s on a 2-acre portion of development at the northeast corner of Highway 347 and Highway 211/Old Winder Highway.

Riverstone Braselton, LLC has applied for a conditional use permit to build a 10,000-square-foot retail building with a 2,200-square-foot portion to include a drive-thru for the national coffee brand.

The Braselton Planning Commission recently held a public hearing on the project and recommends approval with conditions related to signage and exterior colors.

Further conditions will prohibit exterior pole lighting on either side of the overall development access drive along the north side or between the drive thru lane or parking lot and overall development access drive also along the north side of the project.

The planning commission also recommends pedestrian connectivity be expanded within the Riverstone Braselton commercial development to provide linkages between the retail center and neighboring office buildings.
