The Braselton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. April 14 to discuss a request to modify the lot size of property on Highway 53 next to the existing Zaxby’s restaurant. For now, it appears this will be a virtual meeting. The town is also exploring a teleconference platform that would allow the public to listen in and participate via phone. More details to come.

The first purpose of the request is to seek a modification of the minimum lot size requirement to subdivide the existing 1.2-acre parcel into two separate parcels each approximately .6 acres in area. The second purpose of the request is to seek a modification of the minimum lot width requirement to permit lot widths of 112 ft. and 115 ft. respectively. The application from Wilson Development Group on property owned by FJH LLC proposes using the site for two drive-through restaurants.
