The Braselton Community Improvement District voted July 1 to continue levying an ad valorem tax rate of 5 mills, the same millage rate for each year since the CID was established in Dec. 2010.
The Braselton CID, located along I-85 & State Route 403 at the north eastern point of the Gwinnett County line, is a public-private partnership created to provide improvements within the district for the purpose of promoting commercial businesses, providing amenities and facilities to area residents and business owners and creating economic development within the district. Funding is provided through a self-imposed property tax.
