During July’s promotion ceremony at Dekalb County Cadet Squadron, two cadets and one senior member were promoted.

Cadet Basic Kai Anderson was promoted for the first time to Cadet Airman, while Cadet Airman First Class Vincenzo Powers was promoted to Cadet Senior Airman. Senior Member Compton received her first promotion to Second Lieutenant. Information: ga065.org

Omar Black of Marietta earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Coastal Carolina University in August.

Richard Andrew Shearman of Acworth graduated cum laude from Roane State Community College.

Faith Bless of Acworth, Joaquin Colon of Kennesaw, Elena Dabby of Atlanta, John Daniels-Gause of McDonough, David James of Ellenwood, Daniel Williams of Lithonia and Naomi Wills of Covington graduated from Hofstra University in May.

Farida Mohammed of Conyers recently graduated from Monmouth College.

Shannon Soafer of Roswell graduated from the University of Iowa as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Stephanie Nicole Williams of Atlanta received her Master of Business Administration from Baylor University in August.

Paideia School ultimate coach Michael Baccarini has been named one of 12 new members to the Ultimate Hall of Fame by USA Ultimate, the national governing body of the sport.

Atlanta residents Abigail Rebecca Moore-Lee and Michael A. Morris graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma as a part of the summer 2018 class.

Carson Collins, the 2017 Valedictorian at Woodward Academy made freshman Dean's List at University of Chicago.
