French Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Stéphane Crouzat, presented M.A.-Ph.D. candidate in French Studies, Dereke Clements, with a Postgraduate Mobility Grant on behalf of the French Embassy to conduct preliminary research throughout France. Clements is a graduate of Shiloh High School in Snelllville.

Atlanta resident Abigail Hankin-Wei received the Secretary of State Award for Outstanding Volunteerism Abroad (SOSA) at the U.S. Department of State on Nov. 15.
