Daisuke Inoue of Berkeley Lake graduated with a doctor of chiropratic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic's main campus in Davenport, Iowa, on Oct. 19.

Cherokee County's Etowah High School senior Victoria "Tori" Ridgeway achieved a perfect ACT score.

Cherokee County School District parent mentor JoEllen Hancock was the winner of the Georgia Parent Mentor Partnership's 2018 Phil Pickens Award.

Cherokee County School District 2019 Teacher of the Year is Dana Townsend of Mill Creek Middle School.

At the Nov. 15 Board of Commissioners regular meeting, Forsyth County Commissioners Dennis Brown, Cindy Jones Mills and Laura Semanson were recognized for the completion of their continuing education requirements within the Association County Commissioners of Georgia Lifelong Learning Academy.

Karthik Ramaswami from Alpharetta was a member of Emerson College's winning team in the Duo Interpretation Category at the regional International Public Debate Association tournament held at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, NH during the first weekend in November.
