Max Rubenstein, 17, of Atlanta and Angelica Krubeck, 11, of Cumming were named Georgia's top two youth volunteers of 2018 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a nationwide program honoring young people for outstanding acts of volunteerism. As State Honorees, Max and Angelica each will receive $1,000, an engraved silver medallion and an all-expense-paid trip in late April to Washington, D.C., where they will join the top two honorees from each of the other states and the District of Columbia for four days of national recognition events. During the trip, 10 students will be named America's top youth volunteers of 2018.

Mackenzie Adkins of Stockbridge, Lauren Baker of Marietta, Yemaya Broadnax of Smyrna, Shenavia Grady of Duluth, Breasia Johnson of Mcdonough, Teighlor Livingston of Stockton, Taylor Peters of Lithonia and Tamerria Woods of Covington were inducted into Sigma Alpha Pi: The National Society of Leadership and Success at Valdosta State University during the Fall 2017 semester.

Madeline Ryan of Atlanta and Dominique Shore of Suwanee were named to Fort Lewis College's Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester.

Lincoln Memorial University recognized Kelsey Cain of Tallapoosa, Triston Campbell and Leanna Hendrix of Cumming, Rachel Grant of Roswell, Karen Robinson of Lawrenceville, Justice Smith of Acworth, Nathaniel Stinson Jr. of Jonesboro, Diego Velazquez of Newnan, Jacob Watkins of Powder Springs and Caldon Whyte of Watkinsville with Dean's List honors for the Fall 2017 semester.

Taylor Sanna of Alpharetta and Stefanie Alia of John's Creek were named to the dean's list for the Fall 2017 semester at Quinnipiac University.
