Christopher Mitchell Jr., 15, wants to know who killed his father.

The 38-year-old dad, his son's namesake, died after showing up on a stranger's doorstep with a gunshot wound on Dec. 28. DeKalb County police believe he may have been shot at Maggie's Weaving Studio on Memorial Drive after an argument broke out. It could've happened somewhere between the salon and the home, according to Channel 2 Action News. Channel 2 said the police are searching for a woman who may have been with the victim at the salon.

But there are so far few answers about exactly what happened or how he ended up on the doorstep, or what it was he wanted to say when he told the shocked resident who answered the door to call his sister.

Not knowing is the hardest part at the moment for the son.

“Every time I think about it, I get sad,” the son told Channel 2. “I can't sleep at night.”

The stranger who found the victim on her porch said he wanted her to call 911 and his sister. She called 911 first. Moments later he appeared dead.

Aggie Miller, the sister, wonders if he wanted to tell her who had shot him.

“He probably knew. He probably was trying to tell me,” she told the news station.
