Only one council seat will change as a result of the Nov. 7 election in Locust Grove, the only city in Henry County not voting for mayor in 2017.

Seven candidates vied for three at-large seats on the council, with two incumbents at the top of the list — Willie Taylor and Keith Boone. John Gardner came in third, 13 votes ahead of Sammy Brown, the other incumbent. Rounding out the list of candidates in order of finish were Rudy Breedlove, Nathan C. Harrison and David Brown. All of Locust Grove’s council seats are at-large.

The new term for each winning candidate begins in January.
