Police responding to a burglary call found a man dead at a Lawrenceville townhouse Saturday.

Gwinnett County Police said Anthony Quinn Johnson, Jr., 24, died of an apparent gunshot wound at the townhouse in the 2300 block of Bellefonte Avenue.

Police said another man and a woman were found unharmed at the townhouse, as well.

Janeil Linton, whose mother and brother live at the home, told Channel 2 Action News that Johnson was an intruder shot in self defense.

Neighbors reported suspicious activity at the residence, saying they had noticed a number of vehicles coming and going from the townhouse, Channel 2 reported.

Police, who spent Saturday interviewing witnesses, said nothing was taken from the home and there were no signs of forced entry.
