Longtime Johns Creek mayor Mike Bodker will be sworn in as the 83rd president of the Georgia Municipal Association June 28, during the group’s annual convention in Savannah.
Bodker said during his term, he’ll serve as a spokesman for Georgia and will make appointments to various GMA boards. He said he’ll work to promote innovation allowing cities to do more with fewer resources.
Bodker has been mayor of Johns Creek since its inception in 2006 and has served as chairman of the Metro Atlanta Mayors Association. He’s a partner in Johns Creek-based nexDimension Technology Solutions, a business efficiency consulting firm.
