The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its March 19 regular meeting to approve a rezoning request for a one-acre site at the northwest corner of Carl Parker Road and Old Hwy. 3 near Lovejoy for a “craft manufacturing and retail development,” according to a county staff report.

In a separate motion, the commissioners amended the county’s Future Land Use Map to designate the site as commercial. The originally requested zoning of C-3 was denied but C-1 was approved with a condition that all development meet the intent of Highway Corridor Overlay District.
