Blondie to get back pay after beer company used her image

Famed Atlanta entertainer Blondie will share in some of a LaGrange beer company’s profits after she claimed they used her image for a new beer without compensating her, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The bodacious blonde known for her beer-crushing bosoms has her likeness featured on the blond lager "Crushable" beer can by Beacon Beer.

Blondie, whose real name is Anita Ray Strange, has been working at the Clermont Lounge on Ponce De Leon Avenue for nearly 41 years.

“It’s a little frustrating that your likeness is used, and they don’t even want to pay you anything,” Blondie told Channel 2. She also showed the TV station text messages between her and the company where they discussed the design of the can.

She contacted an attorney to help her get the money she is owed. In the meantime, the brewing company said they are working with the longtime entertainer to pay her 10 percent of the “Crushable” beer’s past and future profits.

“We entered into what we thought was a good faith agreement,” the company said in a statement to Channel 2. “Now that we have been told that was not Blondie’s understanding, we will be happy to try to make this right with her.”
