Big traffic change coming to Highway 78 in Snellville

As part of ongoing construction of the displaced left turn intersection on State Route 10/U.S. 78 and State Route 124/Scenic Highway, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close the Highway 78 left turn onto Scenic Highway on July 21.

This lane closure will allow crews to complete construction of the concrete island that will separate the east and westbound lanes of traffic on Scenic Highway.

Drivers will be detoured by way of Henry Clower Boulevard. Message boards will be provided to guide motorists through the detour.

Traffic will begin operating as a displaced left turn early Wednesday, July 31. Crews will begin working in the travel lanes on Tuesday, July 30, and law enforcement will be present to assist in this traffic pattern change.
