Work on the full depth reclamation and resurfacing of West Village Parkway in the northern end of Henry County will proceed after a bid on the project was accepted by a March 20 vote of the Henry County Board of Commissioners.

Out of seven bids received, the low bid of $321,878.65 from Stewart Bros., Inc. was approved. The project is funded by the county’s special-purpose local option sales tax. The resolution approved by the board authorizes the board chair or county manager to approved change orders of less than $50,000.

The vote was unanimous.
