Berkeley Lake voters say yes to package sales of distilled spirits

Berkeley Lake residents voted 113 to 18 to pass a special referendum that will allow the issuance of licenses for the package sale of distilled spirits. The referendum was the result of a petition to the city containing the required number of valid signatures.

Incumbent council members Rodney Hammond, Scott Lee and Chip McDaniel ran for re-election unopposed and were, therefore, automatically elected to office for 4-year terms beginning Jan. 2018.
