The Berkeley Lake city council agreed in late November to award stormwater repair items to MVP Piping Co. of Acworth. An annual inspection of 20 percent of the city’s stormwater facility inventory determined there were 18 inventory items in need of repair.

Per the council’s previous approval, city staff consulted with Keck & Wood Inc. of Duluth to evaluate and develop specifications and solicit proposals.

Three firms submitted proposals.

Based on the evaluation and recommendation of Keck & Wood the council voted unanimously to a contract with MVP Piping in the amount of $96,200.
