Belvedere residents launch fitness program

DeKalb County's Belvedere residents are banding together to get fit this year by launching a community walking program.

The neighborhood is hosting a meeting Jan. 19 for residents to meet their walking partners. The meeting is scheduled for noon at Christ the Lord Church at 3760 Glenwood Road in Decatur.

The neighborhood group is also planning indoor fitness activities, nutrition classes and cooking demonstrations for February and March.
