Bells Ferry meeting to concern crime on Thursday

A community public safety meeting will be hosted by the Bells Ferry Civic Association and area subdivisions at 7 p.m. Thursday at Palmer Middle School Auditorium, 690 N. Booth Road, Kennesaw.

The meeting will focus on keeping neighborhoods safe and confronting the area’s recent crime uptick, according to the association’s website at BellsFerryCivic.org.

New code enforcement complaint procedures, traffic issues and new transportation projects will be addressed as well.

Other topics will include recent burglaries, car door flippers, keeping yourself and your home safe and communication from Police/PENS.

Speakers will be Cobb District 3 Commissioner JoAnn Birrell; Major Jeff Patellis, precinct commander; Code Enforcement Manager Cathey Pickett and Cobb County Department of Transportation Project Manager Brian Loudermilk.
