Connie Baughman, a board member for the Miss Gwinnett County Scholarship Pageant, holds the curtain for Katy Kelley of Winder and her daughter, Ashlyne Kelley, 10 months, who latery won first runner-up in the baby pageant. Many of the mothers and a grandmother who escorted their contestants seemed more nervous than their babies.

Wendy Dickey and her daughter Paisley Scott Dickey, 9 months, depart the stage in front of the pageant judges. A series of pageants will be held at the fair. The winner of the Miss Gwinnett County pageant will be entered in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 2009.

Madilyn Moon is crowned by Samantha Brown of Lawrenceville. Brown is the mother of Jordan Brown, the 2007 Baby Miss Gwinnett.

2008 Baby Miss Gwinnett Madilyn Moon is held by her uncle Daniel Geyer of Lawrenceville as she is surrounded by family and friends after winning the title.
