Barrells available for harvesting rain

North Fulton residents who want to harvest rainwater for lawns and plants can get equipment and instructions Tuesday from the city of Alpharetta and Fulton County Water Services. The rain barrel workshop is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Alpharetta Engineering/Public Works Department, 1790 Hembree Road.

For a cost of $35, participants will get a 55-gallon rain barrel, supplies and installation tips. Registration: 678-297-6200.
