Barbecue restaurants donate to family of Atlanta police officer

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Big Tex and Smith’s Olde Bar joined together recently to raise funds in honor of Gail Thomas, an Atlanta police officer who was killed two weeks ago in a crash authorities claim was caused by a drunk driver. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, the restaurants pledged to donate a percentage of the restaurant sales to a charity called Humble Heroes and Thomas' family. The restaurants raised $5,413 for donations.
