The fact that traffic heading to the Braves new ballpark is going to clog the surrounding areas should be no surprise. It should be as obvious as a team of nobodies not being all that good.

But Sandy Springs pols acted surprised — and more than a little angry — when neighboring Cobb County sprung a plan on them last week to use the city's streets as an entryway for baseball fans headed to the park. Mayor Rusty Paul called it "our nightmare" — a queue of cars stewing in their own exhaust as their drivers grow increasingly frustrated.
