Some of DeKalb's Avondale High School alumni plan to meet at noon Tuesday at the campus for one last tour before it's closed at the end of this school year. The closing of Avondale, built in 1954, is part of redistricting which officials say will help the district save $12.4 million. Part of the high school is slated to remain open as the DeKalb School of the Arts. The tour isn't open to the general public. Information: 678- 676-1200.
