The Lilburn City Council voted Oct. 9 to approve a special use permit for an 11,000-square-foot auto and truck service center at the new Plaza Las Americas indoor mall, formerly the location of a Lowe’s shopping center. The service center on a portion of the 24.7 acres at 733 Pleasant Hill Road will feature window tinting and stereo installation.

Work must be performed in enclosed bays oriented parallel to Pleasant Hill Road. Paint/body repair, heavy repair services, vehicle sales, used tire sales, and outdoor storage are prohibited. To provide a buffer for adjacent homeowners, one row of parking spaces will be removed and replaced with evergreen plantings and a six-foot privacy fence.
