Authors Yuval Taylor and Jake Austen will talk about their new book, “Darkest America: Black Minstrelsy From Slavery to Hip-Hop,” and sign copies Friday at the Auburn Avenue Research Library. The book examines black minstrelsy’s history of from its origins to modern-day manifestations in American pop culture.
