Austell mayor announces his appointments

Austell Mayor Ollie Clemons announced on Dec. 2 his appointments for mayor pro tem and committee chairpersons to serve during the 2020 calendar year.

For the second consecutive year, Councilwoman Valerie Anderson will serve as mayor pro tem as well as chairperson of the Finance and Community Affairs Committees.

Councilman Randy Green will serve as chairperson of the Police Committee.

Chairperson of the Public Works Committee will be Councilwoman Sandra Leverette.

Councilwoman Melanie Elder will serve as chairperson of the General Administration Committee.

Chairperson of the Fire Committee will be Councilman Marlin Lamar.

Councilman Devon Myrick will serve as chairperson of the Parks Committee.
