Austell’s seven parks (Berry Park, Collar Park, Legion Field, Louise Suggs Memorial Park, Pine Street Park, Stephens Park and Washington Street Extension Park) have new rules approved July 3 by Austell by the City Council:

  • close all parks from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • no alcoholic beverages except by special permit.
  • put a leash on all pets except in specially designated areas and be responsible for disposal of pet waste.
  • no destruction or damage of public property.
  • no motor vehicles, mini-bikes or motorcycles within any city park except in designated areas.
  • no skateboards except in authorized areas.
  • city permission and appropriate permits for special use of any city park.
