A three-month moratorium on Austell car lots and paint-and-body repair shops has received a three-month extension.

That decision was made Monday by the Austell City Council.

Councilwoman Valerie Anderson, chairperson of the Community Development Committee, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the reason is “to regulate them better.”

“A lot of them have cars parked more for storage,” she added.
