The Austell City Council will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 to consider a rezoning request from Kobay Development for property at 5915 Spring St.
The meeting will be in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 2716 Broad St.
The company wants to rezone this parcel from Central Business District to single-family residential.
Also, the mayor and council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss this matter during their pre-agenda meeting, also in the Council Chambers, City Hall.
Anyone wishing to speak in opposition must sign up at least one day before the Oct. 5 hearing at the Community Development Department, Suite 101, Austell Threadmill Complex, 5000 Austell-Powder Springs Road, Austell.
