Austell City Council results announced

Three Austell City Council posts were decided Nov. 7.

Re-elected was At-Large Post 1 Councilman Ollie Clemons Jr., receiving 69.93 percent with 400 votes, to 172 votes won by Melanie M. Elder.

Ward 3 Councilman Randy Green garnered 56.08 percent with 106 votes to the 83 votes received by former Councilwoman Trudie Causey.

With the resignation of Ward 1 Councilwoman Kirsten Anderson, Marlin Lamar was elected by only two votes, receiving 76 votes or 50.67 percent to the 74 votes of Ikaika Anderson.

The results are awaiting certification by Cobb County.
