Atlanta weather: Clouds Monday, later showers possible

Metro Atlanta is beginning Monday under cloudy skies, Channel 2 Actions News meteorologist Karen Minton said.
Atlanta should be dry through 1 p.m., Minton said, but showers and storms are possible Monday evening.
Showers and scattered storms are part of our afternoon and evening today and Tuesday. These are the main threats in some of the stronger to severe storms: Heavy rain, winds to 40 mph and small hail are possible in these storms. pic.twitter.com/7udnXKAzkS

The weather pattern continues Tuesday, before drier air and lower humidity moves in Wednesday, Minton said.
Monday’s high is expected to reach 85.
