Friday got off to a rainy start, but the skies cleared and a sunny weekend is expected in metro Atlanta.

Saturday and Sunday, highs will be in the mid-60s, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said. Lows will be in the 40s.

Before the chance of rain returns on Tuesday, Monday is forecast to be sunny and clear, with highs in the upper 60s and a low of 50, Burns said.

Metro Atlanta picked up .49 inches of rain Friday, he said.
