Metro Atlanta kicks off its week with wall to wall sunshine and not a cloud in the sky Sunday.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said warmer temperatures are expected to move in this week.

Sunday’s high of 74 degrees will be matched daily, rising to a high of 82 degrees on Tuesday.

“We’re just not tracking much in the way of clouds,” Monahan said.

The clouds aren’t expected back until Wednesday, when a 10 percent chance of rain in the evening comes from a weak northern front that will most likely stall to the north, Monahan said.

Thursday brings a 30 percent chance of rain, with a low of 59 and a high of 76 degrees. By Friday, the chance of rain and scattered showers increases to 40 percent, but temperatures are still expected to be above 60 degrees all day.
