Roswell won’t pick up residential garbage until next week.

The city had announced pickup would take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but trucks that went out Friday morning found unsafe conditions on many steep, shady streets, according to the city web site.

Pick up will start Tuesday and follow the regular schedule, the web site said.

As during the Christmas holiday period, there will be no limit on the quantity of waste picked up next week. Recycling collection and yard waste pickup will resume as well.
