Hope you enjoyed Thursday's sunny and dry weather, because rain that's forecast to begin Friday afternoon will likely stick around for a while.
Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said the rain will move into the metro Atlanta area Friday and continue through early next week.
There's a 60 percent chance of rain Friday, along with highs around 60 and lows in the low-40s.
On Saturday, the chance of rain and thunderstorms increases to 80 percent, and afternoon highs climb into the upper-60s. Lows early Saturday should be in the mid-50s.
The chance of rain is 30 percent Sunday and 60 percent Monday, when a larger cold front and possibly strong storms move through, Burns said. Highs both days will be in the mid- to upper-60s, with lows in the mid-50s.
