A clear night Tuesday should set the stage for a beautiful day.

The isolated showers around the metro Atlanta area will fade away, leaving mostly clear skies overnight with lows in the mid 70s, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and hot with highs in the low to mid 90s and a 10 percent chance of an afternoon shower, he said.

There will be a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon, with highs near 90, Burns said.

Highs are expected to hit the mid 90s on a partly sunny Friday with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Then comes the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are also forecast to reach the mid 90s with a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain, he said.
