Forget what the calendar says. With 80-degree afternoons, it doesn't feel like we've moved into fall around Atlanta.

But that will change by the weekend, says Glenn Burns, chief meteorologist for Channel 2 Action News.

Expect two more days with high temperatures in the low 80s in the Atlanta area, Burns said. Wednesday's high could reach 85 degrees in Athens.

By Saturday, temperatures will climb only to about 74 degrees, Burns said. Sunday's forecast includes a high of 75 degrees. The weekend weather will be about 3 to 5 degrees below average for the first weekend in October.

Low temperatures Wednesday through Friday will dip to the lower 60s, Burns said. But weekend lows will be about 10 degrees cooler than that, he said.

No rain is in the week's forecast.
