Atlanta-area moms have one more thing to smile about this Mother’s Day — the weather.

Sunday should be sunny and breezy with a high of 68 and no rain in sight, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist David Chandley said.

It is cooler than normal. The average high this time of year is 78, Chandley said.

Temperatures will dip into the mid-40s overnight before warming up throughout a sunny week.

Monday’s highs will be in the upper 60s, with temperatures reaching the upper 70s Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, the area will see temperatures in the low to mid-80s, Chandley said.
