Preservationists are concerned that some of Atlanta's historic buildings are facing the wrecking ball.

About two-thirds of the Crum & Forster building on Spring Street will be razed to make room for a new technology enter being built by the Georgia Tech Foundation.

Boyd Coons pf the Atlanta Preservation Center explains that the art modern style Atlanta Dairies building on Memorial Drive, featuring curved forms and streamlining of it's period along with a concrete frame, makes it particularly adaptable to reuse and should not be torn down.

Kari Brown, with Brown Landscaping, works on the grounds of the 1915 Atlanta & West Point Railroad station on Memorial Drive, which has been repaired and used as a restaurant. The depot has an eclectic design with Georgian influences, evidenced by its brick walls and limestone accents. Very few of Atlanta's train depots remain.
