Elementary students in 13 Atlanta public schools will soon begin learning golf skills as part of their physical education curriculum.

The First Tee National School Program announced Wednesday that more than 100 public schools across the state will participate this year, including in Atlanta, Savannah and Augusta.

The First Tee program expansion in Georgia was made possible through a partnership with Georgia Power, the largest subsidiary of Southern Company.
