Kennesaw State University is letting students and staff know how to get information about the impending snow storm and its effect on campus.

Kennesaw State University has decided to close at noon Friday ahead of a snow storm gunning for Georgia.

Tammy DeMel, KSU spokeswoman, confirmed the school’s closing Thursday night.

Gov. Nathan Deal plans to declare a state of emergency in preparation of up to 4 inches of snow expected to fall on metro Atlanta this weekend.

The order will cover 79 Georgia counties, including metro Atlanta.

A winter storm warning will go into effect for north Georgia Friday as a winter storm is expected to bring up to 4 inches of snow this weekend.

Cobb Schools to release students 2 hours early Friday

The school put out on its social media channels a list of websites and accounts to get updates from.

That includes the school Office of Emergency Management's website, Twitter and Facebook along with the list of campus advisories.
