Kennesaw State University has decided to close at noon Friday ahead of a snow storm gunning for Georgia.

Tammy DeMel, KSU spokeswoman, confirmed the school’s closing Thursday night.

Gov. Nathan Deal plans to declare a state of emergency in preparation of up to 4 inches of snow expected to fall on metro Atlanta this weekend.

The order will cover 79 Georgia counties, including metro Atlanta.

The school put out on its social media channels a list of websites and accounts to get updates from.

That includes the school Office of Emergency Management's websiteTwitter and Facebook along with the list of campus advisories.
