Children who live outside the city of Atlanta but want to attend Atlanta Public Schools will pay $9,714 for the 2012-13 school year, according to tuition rates approved this summer. Special education students will pay $19,793 plus costs for additional services based on the student's needs. Evening high school rates were set at $982 per class for non-residents and $196 per class for residents over age 21. Residents age 16-21 can take evening courses for free.
