Atlanta school board taking applications to fill District 2 seat

The Atlanta school board will select a candidate to fill the District 2 seat until a permanent candidate is elected in November 2011. Applications for job are online at www.atlantapublicschools.us and must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 3. The official appointment will take place Aug. 8. District 2 is located in the south central part of the city and encompasses the Atlanta University Center and the Bankhead Highway and Hightower road areas.
