Atlanta School Board

Action: School board reviewed transporation plan and two days later announced it would spend $2.8 million to add 49 buses to ist fleet, along with an additional 850 stops to existing routes. The move was in response to complaints from parents and activists that students were having to walk to school in dangerous neighborhoods and some were getting to school late because new bus routes and regulations were flawed.
