Atlanta has been ranked one of the best places to celebrate Pride Month for 2018.

The list was developed by HomeToGo, a search engine for vacation rentals. Atlanta came in at number five out of 50 cities across the world. The number one city was Washington, D.C.

Joanna Booth, HomeToGo representative, explained that Atlanta’s Pride appeal is the many events it holds.

“There are so many more trending pride celebrations happening all over the country. Atlanta is one of the only ones with so many activities,” said Booth.

Cities were ranked based on annual pride growth, the number of LGBT events, the quality of LGBT nightlife, and the availability of affordable and LGBT-friendly accommodations.

Though Atlanta Pride is held in October, Pride Month celebrations are still held throughout the city in June.

Pride month commemorates the Stonewall Inn riots.
