Atlanta police release video in senior's shooting
Atlanta police have released video footage that they hope will help them track down a suspect in the shooting of an 85-year-old woman in a home invasion.
The woman was shot in the head early Friday morning in a residence in the 1800 block of Campbellton Road.
During the home invasion, she struggled with the assailant before she was shot, police said.
The shooter fled on foot. Surveillance footage of the suspect in the parking area has been posted on YouTube. The suspect appears to be wearing a light-colored shirt, khaki pants and a dark hat.
The woman, whose age initially was reported as 87, remains in the hospital in critical but stable condition, Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said.
