The Atlanta Police Department is taking measures to protect its officers in wake of the recent to the shootings of police in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

Two officers will patrol per vehicle “in some parts of the city,” according to a written statement released Monday by the department. Employee assistance team members will also visit each zone to support the officers.

“As always, we remind our officers to be aware of their surroundings, use all their senses and to listen to their intuition when responding to calls,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy said in the statement.

Similar measures have already been taken in Chicago and other major U.S. cities.

“Our top priority remains securing our city and protecting our citizens,” Espy said.
